A recent Gonzales Research Poll conducted in Maryland has revealed some interesting findings regarding the state’s leadership and direction. Governor Wes Moore’s approval rating has dropped by 6% since January, with 55% of voters approving of his job performance. President Donald Trump and DOGE head Elon Musk also received low approval ratings in the state, with 36% and 30% respectively.
The poll found that Marylanders are feeling dispirited overall, with only 41% feeling the state is moving in the right direction, and 42% rating economic conditions for themselves and their families as “excellent” or “pretty good.” The high price of electricity has also been a concern for residents, with 67% reporting higher electric bills than a year ago and 53% expressing worry about power surges.
The poll, conducted with 804 registered voters likely to participate in the next election, had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points. The full results of the poll can be found on the Gonzales Research website.
