Eligible applicants can include businesses from various counties: Washington, Allegany, Frederick in Maryland; Franklin and Fulton in Pennsylvania; Loudoun in Virginia; and Berkeley, Jefferson, and Morgan in West Virginia. The Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) aim to cover essential operating expenses such as rent, payroll, and bills, regardless of physical damage caused by the drought.
It’s important to note that traditional farmers, ranchers, and agricultural producers do not qualify for this program. Applications for economic injury must be submitted by February 2, 2026.
