Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker has publicly responded to a series of serious allegations of sexual misconduct, marking his first statement in nearly a month. In a recent communication with Outkick, Tucker expressed his distress over claims made by 16 massage therapists from eight Baltimore spas, asserting that these accusations have been profoundly unsettling.
"I want to apologize to anyone who did not feel respected or valued," Tucker stated. He vehemently denied the allegations, which include claims of inappropriate behavior such as exposing his genitals and misconduct during massage sessions alleged to have occurred from 2012 to 2016.
Tucker labeled the accusations “unequivocally false” when they first emerged and reiterated his innocence in a second statement following the increase in allegations. “These claims are simply not true,” he asserted, emphasizing his intention to maintain respectful interactions over his 13-year career. His legal team has presented declarations from spa owners supporting his claims of no previous complaints against him, although some therapists reportedly feared professional repercussions for speaking out.
Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta acknowledged the seriousness of the allegations and indicated the organization would await the results of an NFL investigation before making decisions regarding Tucker’s future. Coach John Harbaugh noted the team’s uncertainty about the facts of the situation.
Amidst these allegations, Tucker’s wife, Amanda, voiced her support, asserting the harm caused to their family by the accusations.
Tucker, 35, is a seven-time Pro Bowler and holds the record as the most accurate kicker in NFL history, being the last remaining player from the Ravens’ 2012 Super Bowl championship team.
