Muggy Nights and Stormy Weekend Kickoff in Maryland

Unsettled Weather Pattern Continues in Maryland

Marylanders can expect a humid and unsettled weather pattern continuing into the weekend, with multiple opportunities for rain and thunderstorms. Thursday night will see partly cloudy skies and warm, humid conditions, as temperatures remain in the mid-60s. Patchy fog may develop in rural areas overnight, though no significant rain is anticipated.

Friday promises more of the same, with temperatures soaring into the 80s, particularly in areas east of I-95. While early parts of the day are expected to stay dry, scattered thunderstorms are likely later in the afternoon, especially west of I-95. The Storm Prediction Center indicates a Marginal Risk for severe weather in these areas, with the primary concerns being isolated damaging winds and heavy downpours.

Friday night into Saturday will bring organized rain as a weak front moves through, potentially resulting in heavy localized rainfall before dawn. Skies will gradually clear into Saturday afternoon, with temperatures cooling slightly to around 80 degrees.

Unsettled conditions persist into Sunday, before a brief warm-up on Monday. However, a more stable and pleasant weather pattern is projected by midweek, with sun-filled skies and comfortable temperatures continuing through Friday.
