Community Rallies to Honor Fallen Baltimore Firefighter Lt. Mark Dranbauer

Baltimore, MD – The community came together in heartfelt remembrance of Lt. Mark Dranbauer, a dedicated firefighter who passed away on May 16 after suffering a medical emergency during a firefighting operation. His mother, Robin Dranbauer, reflected on her son’s passion for helping others, noting he left behind a 5-year-old son who recently graduated from kindergarten with firefighters in attendance.

A fundraiser held at Jimmy’s Famous Seafood raised approximately $20,000 for his family. Co-owner John Minadakis highlighted the event’s aim to create a positive memory of Lt. Dranbauer, who served the Baltimore City Fire Department for 23 years. Attendees shared stories and celebrated his legacy, emphasizing the profound impact he had on many lives.

The event featured a buffet, DJ, games, and auctions, all contributing to an atmosphere of unity and support. Lt. Dranbauer, who tragically fell from a ladder during his duty, is expected to save up to 70 lives through organ donations.

Robin remains dedicated to keeping her son’s memory alive, continuing her volunteer work in the fire service, and cherishing the moments that remind her of him.
