Remembering Glenn Allan Larnerd: A Legacy of Dedication and Service

Great Mills, Maryland – Glenn Allan Larnerd, 80, passed away on May 6, 2025, at the Hospice House in Callaway, Maryland. Born on March 19, 1945, in Newark, New Jersey, Glenn was the son of the late Frederick and Doris Larnerd. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patty, of 54 years, along with their children, Glenn Jr. and Amanda Nulph, and five cherished granddaughters.

After graduating from Montrose High School and earning a Bachelor’s degree from Montana State University, Glenn served his country as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, where he earned a Bronze Star. Following his military service, he dedicated 44 years to St. Mary’s County Public Schools, shaping young minds as a teacher, Athletic Director, and coach. He received numerous accolades, including induction into the Maryland Baseball Hall of Fame.

Outside of his professional life, Glenn was an active community member, enjoying retirement through coaching, golfing, and traveling with Patty. His family remembers him for his dedication and the values he instilled in students. Private services will be held, with burial at Arlington National Cemetery. Contributions to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or the Hospice House are encouraged.
