The InTERPship Academy is currently hosting 15 varsity sports representatives this summer, spanning a wide range of sports including track and field, golf, soccer, lacrosse, cross country, field hockey, gymnastics, softball, tennis, volleyball, and wrestling. Among the participants is Tamari Gagoshidze, a junior on Maryland’s tennis team, who is interning as a tax associate. Gagoshidze is using this experience to prepare for an internship with Ernst & Young next year. She emphasized the importance of gaining industry knowledge and workplace culture experience through the InTERPship program before diving into a formal internship. Gagoshidze’s supervisor for the summer also has experience at Ernst & Young, adding an extra layer of comfort and confidence for her upcoming internship. The InTERPship Academy continues to provide valuable opportunities for student-athletes to gain real-world experience and prepare for their future careers.
