Introducing Quincy Griffin III, a talented student musician

Quincy Griffin III, a music major at UNC, has always had a deep love for music, inspired by his rapper and producer father. Starting at a young age, Griffin began making beats and eventually released his first EP, “Love Language, Vol. 1,” earlier this year, with plans for more music in the future.

His latest EP is a mix of R&B and hip hop instrumentals, telling a love story through six songs, with the final track titled “Don’t Forget Me.” Griffin credits his growth as an artist to taking professor Suzie Analogue’s beatmaking class, where he learned valuable techniques and gained insight into the music industry.

Analogue herself praises Griffin’s dedication to both his academic studies and musical pursuits, highlighting his balance between the two. Griffin also participates in UNC’s Hip Hop Ensemble, with an upcoming performance titled “Evergreen,” inspired by spring and nature themes.

This collaboration with other artists showcases Griffin’s talent and original compositions. As he continues to develop his craft and pursue his passion for music, Griffin represents the dedication and creativity of UNC’s hip hop program. Fans can look forward to more music and performances from this talented musician in the future.
