A Hyattsville man, John Thomas White, was arrested following a high-speed chase in Charles County on March 11. White led officers on a pursuit, dropping cellphones and drugs along the way. Inside the stolen vehicle, officers found cannabis, a loaded handgun, and a white powdery substance. White was charged with multiple felonies related to theft, drug possession, and reckless driving.
In another incident, Delvon Jerome Spears, a White Plains man, was arrested for allegedly choking a woman during a domestic assault on March 10. Spears faced charges of first- and second-degree assault.
Joseph Preston Hall Jr., a Waldorf man, was charged with felony theft after officers discovered a stolen vehicle and a loaded handgun in his possession during a traffic stop on March 8. Hall was not in possession of a concealed handgun permit.
Several other individuals were also arrested and charged with offenses ranging from firearm-related violations, assault, and drug possession in Calvert and St. Mary’s Counties. Investigations are ongoing, and law enforcement officials urge the public to report any information related to criminal activities.
