IndiGo teams up with Amadeus to innovate revenue management through cutting-edge technology


IndiGo, one of India’s leading airlines, has announced a strategic partnership with Amadeus to implement advanced Revenue Management technology, Amadeus SRM Flex. This cloud-based system will allow IndiGo to optimize revenue management and enhance efficiency as the airline continues to expand rapidly in India and internationally.

The new technology, seamlessly integrated with IndiGo’s Navitaire New Skies Passenger Service System, will provide the airline with granular controls to make faster and smarter business decisions. It will also automate repetitive tasks, driving operational efficiency and opening up new revenue streams. The system offers flexibility in adjusting price-setting approaches tailored to IndiGo’s evolving strategies.

Abhijit Dasgupta, Senior Vice President of Planning and Revenue Management at IndiGo, expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing the importance of adapting to the fast-changing aviation landscape. The collaboration with Amadeus will enable IndiGo to focus on more sophisticated Revenue Management strategies, supporting the airline’s growing network and expansion plans.

Javier Laforgue, Executive Vice President of the Travel Unit at Amadeus, highlighted the modular and easy-to-implement nature of the Revenue Management technology, ensuring a smooth integration with IndiGo’s current and future business solutions. The partnership aims to position IndiGo for long-term success as it continues expanding both domestically and internationally.

IndiGo, known for its ambitious growth plans and large order of 500 A320 aircraft, currently operates a fleet of over 400 aircraft with more than 2,200 daily flights connecting over 120 destinations. The adoption of Amadeus’ advanced technology underscores IndiGo’s commitment to ensuring a strong technological infrastructure to support its continued growth and success in the global airline industry.
