Experience the Lifestyle at Knox County Public Library

Mr. Carnegie’s Book Club at the Knox County Public Library is a monthly gathering for book lovers to come together and discuss a variety of novels. Established in October 2021 under the guidance of Janet Kitchin, the book club meets on the third Monday of each month at the library. Readers take turns hosting discussions, and refreshments are provided by the library for participants.

In the upcoming meeting on March 17th, Megan Mrozek will lead a discussion on “Lula Dean’s Little Library of Banned Books” by Kirsten Miller. This provocative and hilarious novel follows the lives of neighbors whose lives are changed by borrowing banned books from a little lending library in Georgia. Multiple copies of the book are available for borrowing from the library.

Since its inception, Mr. Carnegie’s Book Club has discussed a variety of books, including classics like “Pride and Prejudice” and contemporary works like “Anxious People” by Fredrik Backman. At each meeting, the next month’s featured book is announced, and copies are available for borrowing that evening.

Joining Mr. Carnegie’s Book Club is a great way to connect with fellow book enthusiasts and foster a love of literature in a positive environment. Whether you enjoy mysteries, romance, or historical fiction, there is something for everyone at this book club. We look forward to welcoming you to our next meeting as we bond over our shared passion for reading.
