NEXTCHEM (MAIRE) secures a 3-year engineering and technology services contract with SATORP in Saudi Arabia

NEXTCHEM, a subsidiary of MAIRE, has been awarded a 3-year contract by SATORP, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and TotalEnergies, to provide engineering and technology services for the Sulphur Recovery Complex of SATORP’s refinery in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The contract includes enhancing performance, providing process and engineering advisory services, operational troubleshooting, improving energy efficiency, and reducing the carbon footprint of the three units within the complex. The services will also include recommendations for capital investment opportunities, design enhancements, and technology improvements.

Alessandro Bernini, CEO of MAIRE, expressed excitement over the collaboration, highlighting it as a milestone in their efforts to drive sustainability and efficiency in the refining industry. This contract with SATORP follows a previous successful project awarded to TECNIMONT, another subsidiary of MAIRE, for a multibillion-dollar petrochemical expansion project known as the Amiral project in June 2023. The partnership with SATORP reinforces MAIRE’s commitment to delivering innovative engineering and technology solutions that reduce environmental impact.

This news demonstrates the continued success and growth of MAIRE and its subsidiaries in providing essential services to the petrochemical industry. The company’s focus on sustainability and efficiency aligns with the increasing global demand for environmentally conscious practices in the refining sector. The collaboration between NEXTCHEM and SATORP is set to bring about positive changes in the Sulphur Recovery Complex, supporting operational excellence and reducing environmental impact.
