A mudslide at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky sent a cargo container and makeshift office into the Kentucky River after heavy rains and flooding. No employees were near the area at the time, and the affected property has been roped off for safety. Production and tours at the distillery have not been affected by the incident, and cleanup efforts are underway. Buffalo Trace Distillery, which dates back to 1771, has faced challenges such as floods, fires, tornadoes, and Prohibition throughout its long history. Governor Andy Beshear reported that at least 22 people have died in recent winter weather-related incidents in the state.
