Maryland No. 9 Dominates Saint Joseph’s in 18-7 Victory

The No. 9 Maryland women’s lacrosse team secured a decisive 18-7 victory against Saint Joseph’s at Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex, improving their season record to 2-1. The Terps dominated from the start, scoring the first eight goals of the game and never relinquishing their lead. Freshman Shelby Sullivan, sophomore Maisy Clevenger, and Kori Edmondson each recorded hat tricks to lead Maryland to victory.

In addition to the standout performances from Sullivan, Clevenger, and Edmondson, Kayla Gilmore and Jordyn Lipkin contributed multiple goals for the Terps. Goalkeeper JJ Suriano made four saves, supported by a strong defensive effort that forced nine turnovers. Head coach Cathy Reese’s team boasts an impressive record of 174-12 at home, with only two conference losses under her leadership.

Maryland will face Denver in their next game on March 1, streamed on Big Ten Plus. The Terps hold a 4-0 advantage over Saint Joseph’s in their series and continue to showcase their dominance in women’s lacrosse.
