Two Maryland men have been arrested in connection with separate armed road rage incidents in Baltimore and Prince George’s Counties. In one incident, a driver in a red Mustang showed a firearm near I-695 and Liberty Road. The suspect, identified as 71-year-old William Shockey, was found with a loaded handgun. In another incident on Route 1, a man later identified as 70-year-old Charles Provost waved a firearm multiple times. Provost was found with a loaded handgun at his home in College Park. These incidents add to a series of road rage cases in Maryland, some of which turned deadly. In a recent case, a 41-year-old man was charged for a road rage shooting in Frederick County, where he followed a car while shooting at the victims. Another incident in July 2024 involved a Fourth of July road rage shooting that resulted in one person dead and multiple injuries. The incident began with a physical altercation, leading to gunfire that left one person dead on the scene.
