A proposed memorandum introduced on Wednesday could require the Baltimore Ravens and the state of Maryland to split the cost of a $489 million upgrade project at M&T Bank Stadium, according to The Baltimore Banner. The project will cost more than initially estimated, with the Ravens contributing $20 million and the state paying the rest. The Maryland Stadium Authority Board approved the memorandum, but it still needs to be approved by the state’s Board of Public Works and a financing plan. The three-year upgrade project announced in 2023 includes a redesigned North Plaza, new tailgate areas, field-level clubs, and suites. The stadium will also feature new social spaces for fans and a year-round team store. By the summer of 2024, some improvements such as plush field-level seats and The Black Wing suites were unveiled. Ravens President Sashi Brown expressed excitement about investing back into the stadium to enhance the gameday experience for fans.
