No. 20 Maryland Men’s Basketball Team Set to Face USC at Home
The No. 20 Maryland Terrapins are on a winning streak, having won seven of their last eight games. They will be facing USC at home on Thursday night, in a game that will be televised on FS1. Maryland has an impressive record, with six Quad 1 victories and three top-25 wins this season. They are ranked highly in various rankings, including NCAA NET, Kenpom, and Torvik.
Maryland’s success is attributed to their high-scoring offense, fast starts, and strong performances from their starting five, known as “The Crab Five.” They are one of four major conference programs where all five starters score in double figures. Leading the team is freshman Derik Queen, who has impressed with his scoring and rebounding abilities.
Fans attending the game can look forward to a Black History Month celebration, a special halftime performance, and a Happy Hour promotion. Maryland has been dominant at home this season, winning 15 out of 16 games. With only a few regular-season games left, the Terrapins are looking to extend their winning streak and solidify their position in the rankings.
