Beyoncé announced a new tour titled the “Cowboy Carter Tour 2025” through a social media post and an update on her website. This comes after she postponed an announcement due to the California wildfires, during which she donated $2.5 million to support affected families. Beyoncé first performed songs from her album “Cowboy Carter” during a halftime show on Christmas Day, which was later available as a standalone special on Netflix. The streaming platform recently added a clip with flashing colors and the phrase “Cowboy Carter Tour.” Parkwood Entertainment, her label, responded with enthusiasm to the post by Netflix, saying “Saddle up, see y’all on the road.”
The announcement of the tour coincides with the Grammy Awards, where Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” album earned 11 nominations, including Album of the Year. The lead single, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” has already achieved double platinum status. Released in March, “Cowboy Carter” is Beyoncé’s eighth consecutive album to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart and also topped the Top Country Albums chart, making her the first Black woman to lead the country album list. The announcement is reminiscent of her “Renaissance World Tour” announcement two years ago, which was also made at the beginning of Black History Month.
