The warning also includes parts of West Virginia. Wind chills are expected to drop to near or below zero by Thursday evening. This warning follows the region’s first snowflakes of the season, turning to rainfall near Baltimore. Baltimore City has already declared a Code Blue Extreme Cold Season in effect until March 2025. Residents are urged to prepare with food and shelter, and limit travel during winter weather warnings to prevent accidents. Wisp Ski Resort in Western Maryland will open their slopes on Friday, Dec. 6 for winter sports enthusiasts to enjoy.
