Magellan Jets Makes Technology-Centric Acquisition with Fly Louie’s Platinum Charter Division
Boston-based private jet seller Magellan Jets has made another technology-focused move with the recent acquisition of Fly Louie’s Platinum Charter division. This acquisition expands Magellan Jets’ operator-centric technology platform, following their acquisition of Stellar last year.
Fly Louie customers can now enjoy the same quality and safety standards, along with a broader range of options for private air travel with Magellan Jets. The acquisition allows customers to benefit from Stellar’s industry-leading sales and quoting technology, providing increased efficiency and revenue for both aircraft operators and charter buyers.
With the partnership with Stellar, operators gain access to an expanding pool of aggregated charter demand, AI-driven tools, and real-time demand processing to maximize aircraft revenue. Additionally, key personnel from Fly Louie have moved over to Magellan Jets, including Dan Morrison as VP of Procurement and Logistics, Matt Dalton as the Director of Sourcing and Scheduling, and Liberty Feliciano as the Aircraft Scheduling Specialist.
Stellar Chief Technology Officer Terry Truta emphasized the commitment to grow their operator-centric marketplace with the acquisition, providing unparalleled expertise, technology, and retail demand. Fly Louie CEO Julia Takeda sees this acquisition as a natural evolution to drive operator revenue with Stellar’s suite of tools and technology.
Magellan Jets acquired Stellar in 2023 and continues to build a strategic portfolio of technologies and services to accelerate growth, profitability, and efficiency. The acquisition of Fly Louie’s Platinum Charter division is another step in this vision, solidifying Magellan Jets’ position in the private jet industry.
