Kaimrhon Emmanuel Bonaventure, a 25-year-old man from Douglas, Georgia, was arrested in St. Mary’s County, Maryland, for violating a protective order and attempting to break into a residence. The incident occurred on Meadow Road in Hollywood, Maryland, where Bonaventure attempted to enter the home of a woman protected by a final protective order against him. The victim reported years of abuse at Bonaventure’s hands, including physical violence and threats. Despite knowing about the protective order, Bonaventure claimed he traveled to Maryland to “make things work.” He was found hiding in nearby woods and had a history of multiple protective order violations within the past year. Bonaventure faces charges including violating a protective order, third-degree burglary, and fourth-degree burglary. Law enforcement agencies conducted a comprehensive search involving K-9 units and helicopters to apprehend him. Bonaventure is being held without bond and is scheduled for a bail review hearing. This marks the latest in a series of criminal incidents involving Bonaventure and highlights the importance of protective orders for victims of domestic violence.
