Former Terps Sophia Antonopolous, Marissa Coleman, and Stephanie Giameo, who are all successful athletes and professionals, participated in a panel discussion at a Campus Conversations event moderated by Sheila Matthews and Sereita Cobbs from ESPN. The event was organized in partnership with ESPNW and aimed to support women leaders, amplify their voices, and showcase their impact. Dr. Sue Sherburne, Maryland’s Executive Associate Athletic Director, expressed pride in the athletes’ successes and their commitment to giving back to the University community.
Sophia Antonopolous, a women’s lacrosse player from 2020-23, Marissa Coleman, a women’s basketball player from 2005-08, and Stephanie Giameo, a gymnast from 2012-15, shared their experiences and knowledge with the audience.
