Despite the popularity of online shopping, Marylanders were still eager to line up early for Black Friday deals in person this year. At Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover, shoppers like the Moreno brothers were determined to be first in line at stores like Nike to snag the best deals. Some lined up in the early hours of the morning, even before stores opened, hoping to be among the first to claim special offers. People were excited to participate in the tradition of Black Friday shopping, with many seeking not only great deals but also the experience of being in-store with their loved ones. Lines outside of popular stores like Michael Kors and Ulta further demonstrated the appeal of in-person shopping on Black Friday. While online deals are also available, there is something special about the in-store experience that keeps shoppers coming back year after year. The Black Friday rush is still alive and well in Maryland, as people turn out to hunt for the best deals and enjoy the holiday shopping experience.
