Stacey Williams came forward with an allegation that she was groped by Donald Trump in 1993 while Jeffrey Epstein watched. She shared her story during a public Zoom call organized by “Survivors for Kamala” that included other women discussing their experiences with sexual violence. Williams, a registered Democrat, stated that her decision to speak out was motivated in part by the upcoming election and her fear of Trump being re-elected. Trump’s campaign denied the allegations, calling them false. Williams described the incident in detail, stating that Trump touched her inappropriately while Epstein watched calmly. Following the encounter, Epstein blamed her for allowing Trump’s behavior, causing her humiliation and confusion.
Williams recounted how the incident affected her, leading to feelings of shame and self-blame. She received a postcard from Trump following the incident but never reported it to the police. The allegation against Trump, with Epstein present, is the first public account of sexual misconduct involving the two men. Williams decided to speak out after years of keeping silent, feeling compelled to tell her story in light of the election and the proximity of a film about her experiences being shown at a festival. Trump has faced previous allegations of sexual misconduct from other women, including E. Jean Carroll. The latest accusation comes just before the election, with early voting already underway in some states. Williams believes that speaking out about her experience is important to highlight the harm caused by sexual assault.
