A drone was launched toward Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s house in Caesarea, northern Israel, but Netanyahu and his wife were not present and there were no casualties. The Israel Defense Forces reported that a drone crossed from Lebanon and hit a structure in the area of Caesarea, with two other drones intercepted. This incident is under review. The attack comes shortly after Israel killed Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar during a military operation in Gaza. Sinwar was responsible for orchestrating terrorist attacks, and his death was the result of a yearlong manhunt by the IDF. Netanyahu stated that Sinwar’s death marked the “beginning of the end” for Hamas, but acknowledged that the conflict is ongoing. Following Sinwar’s death, Hezbollah in Lebanon, backed by Iran, vowed to escalate fighting against Israel. This situation is still evolving, so updates should be monitored.
