Loyola University Maryland has been recognized for its dedication to supporting transfer students by being named to the 2024 Transfer Honor Roll by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. This prestigious list includes 228 colleges and universities that demonstrate a commitment to helping transfer students succeed.
Senior director of undergraduate admission, Andrew Cevasco, expressed pride in Loyola’s recognition on the list, highlighting the valuable perspectives and experiences transfer students bring to the university. Loyola offers various resources to help transfer students transition smoothly, including a Transfer Transitions seminar, academic advising and support, tutoring, and a career center.
The university also has a dedicated Transfer Student Orientation program and a Transfer Student Organization to provide community and support for transfer students. Loyola aims to ensure that each transfer student receives a personalized credit evaluation and offers scholarships and grants to make the transition to the university more affordable and accessible.
Phi Theta Kappa compiled the Transfer Honor Roll based on 40 metrics related to the support and success of transfer students in various areas. Loyola’s inclusion on this list demonstrates its commitment to helping transfer students thrive within its community.
