Three-star Archbishop Spalding defensive lineman Delmar White has committed to Maryland football after a successful official visit last weekend. White, who received his first Power Four offer from Maryland in June, felt a strong connection with the players and coaching staff and decided to pledge his commitment during the visit.
White, who also excels in wrestling, credits his experience on the mat for helping him on the football field with flexibility and technique. The Terps pursued White after his transfer to Spalding and quickly built a strong relationship with him, with defensive line coach Brian Williams playing a key role in his recruitment.
White, who plans to work on refining his game and building his strength over the summer, is excited to join a Maryland program that he has always wanted to be a part of. He believes that Maryland will help him continue to improve as a player and provide a supportive environment for his development.
With White’s commitment, Maryland’s 2025 recruiting class has climbed up the rankings, adding to the momentum of the program’s recent success in recruiting. White joins four-star quarterback Malik Washington, his former teammate, in choosing to commit to Maryland, highlighting the strong relationships and connections that the program has been able to build with its recruits.
