The delegation accompanying Kemp includes lawmakers and state economic recruiters, and they plan to host a reception in collaboration with Hyundai Motor Group.
During the visit, Kemp is scheduled to hold meetings with prominent South Korean companies such as LG Group, SK Group, Hanwha Qcells, and CJ Foodville. These companies have significant operations in Georgia, with LG Group, for example, building an electric vehicle battery plant at an automotive assembly complex near Savannah.
The cost of the trip to taxpayers has not been disclosed at this time. This visit marks Kemp’s latest international journey, following previous trips to Germany, Israel, France, and the nation of Georgia. The governor’s efforts aim to strengthen economic ties between Georgia and foreign countries, fostering partnerships that benefit both the state and international businesses.
