Kristen Faulkner, a former rower turned professional cyclist, discovered her passion for biking in 2016 while living in New York City. Despite initial struggles with clipping in on her bike, Faulkner quickly progressed through the local racing scene and turned pro in 2020 after winning her first race. She has since achieved notable successes, including winning a stage at the 2021 Ladies Tour of Norway and a gold medal at the 2023 Pan American Games.
Faulkner’s ambition is now focused on the Olympics, having been inspired by the 2000 Sydney Games. With the Paris Games on the horizon, Faulkner aims to excel in both the Olympics and other prestigious races such as the Tour de France. She credits her success to her quick learning ability and resilience, having overcome challenges like a concussion and a car accident without losing her passion for cycling.
Looking ahead, Faulkner has set lofty goals for herself, including winning an Olympic medal, a world championship in the time trial, and a stage at the Tour de France. She is determined to continue pushing herself to achieve greatness in the sport and remains undeterred by setbacks, embodying resilience and dedication in her pursuit of cycling excellence.
