The Council Office Building in Rockville, Maryland will be temporarily shifting its public entrance from Maryland Avenue to the main entrance starting July 17, 2024. This relocation is necessary due to ongoing renovations on the building’s second floor to create new meeting areas and a grab-and-go food vendor space, which are expected to be completed by spring 2025. During this period, residents and employees will be redirected to the main entrance under the Council Office Building signage. However, the accessible first-floor public entrance adjacent to the public parking garage will remain open. The entrance to the public parking garage is located off East Jefferson Street in Rockville. The County’s Department of General Services will provide directional signage to help residents and visitors easily locate both entrances.
